A program which reduces energy consumption while using a computer.

If you are really interested in saving energy and at the same time helping to avoid the imminent climate change, you have at your disposal a very interesting tool: Edison. Created by Verdiem, a company dedicated to reducing the consumption of energy by new technologies, the aim of this program is to give users total control of their computer´s energy.

Thanks to this program you will be able to establish a task timetable ( simply informing Edison about when you most frequently use the computer ), save energy, know how much energy you are saving ( Edison will inform you using estimates ), etc.

There are three parts of the computer which Edison temporarily deactivates so as to save energy: the monitor, hard disks or the computer itself, and the time when we reduce our activity can be configured in order to save less energy or to save more energy.

Edison is a great option for contributing towards avoiding the deterioration of nature, and also for saving money.
